Back to the Drawing Board
Well, in light of some soul further reflection and research on just how bad the tech industry has done so much in bad faith and stolen so much intellectual property that it’s impossible to look away. So, I’ve cancelled my MidJourney subscription and removed all AI generated images from the books. I’m not removing any previously posted images from social media or the website because I feel like that would be disingenuous and dishonest. However, we are taking steps in the immediate future to begin replacing all art with art created by real artists.
Meanwhile, despite removing all of the visual imagery from the books, Nathan and I have been working on adding the fiction and finishing the principle writing for the main rule books. As of now, Book 2, the book that pertains to the creation of forces is completed. Book 1, the rules of gameplay is close to being finished. Book 3, which contains mostly extra information pertaining to the setting and hobby tips has the farthest to go. All three books still require a great deal of art and photography before they’ll be properly ready for sale. However, our current target is to be mostly done with Book 1 & 2 by the end of August or so with the intent to do demos and maybe pre-sales at CritCon and OrdoFanaticus’ club con, both of which are in the fall.
There’s a lot of work to be done, but approaching each piece on its own and not fussing with more than we can handle at once should help prevent overwhelm this year.
Here’s to a productive 2026!
